Notre Dame Checks In On Elite 2026 QB Noah Grubbs

The mutual interest between Notre Dame and Noah Grubbs‍ has been obvious since the Irish offered the 2026 Florida quarterback a scholarship last summer.

But it's been building since then and Tuesday provided more evidence as Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli made their way down to Florida to check out Grubbs in action at Lake Mary High School.

“They can't sit down and talk to me, obviously, but obviously I saw them,” says Grubbs. “It's Day Two of spring ball, so everyone's happy.

“They watched me throw routes on air. They watched us go together as an offense and then they watched us scrimmage for a little bit, 11-on-11.”

Denbrock and Guidugli may have been prevented from having any meaningful conversations on Tuesday, but over the past several months, the Irish have made their message clear.

“They got the message across that they want me at Notre Dame,” the 6-foot-5, 195-pounder says. “They want me to be the face of their program at Notre Dame and that they think that I can fit in their style of offense.”

Grubbs has a lengthy list of offers including schools like Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Miami, North Carolina, Duke, Auburn, Colorado, Nebraska, Penn State and Texas A&M along with Notre Dame.

Still, it’s obvious the Irish own a special place in Grubbs’ mind.

“It's definitely a different feeling than any place because it's Notre Dame,” he says. “They're one of the most prestigious schools out there from academics to sports, and football specifically. Being out at Notre Dame over summer camp and at spring ball, it's a different atmosphere there than any other place.”

Grubbs says the next step in the process for him and Notre Dame is him returning to South Bend for camp sometime next month.

Next up will be getting back up there for summer camp.

Grubbs doesn’t have any visits to any other schools locked in at the moment.
