From time to time, 2015 Notre Dame offensive line commit Tristen Hoge will be providing Irish Sports Daily with his thoughts as he prepares for the start of his collegiate career. We’ve entitled the Idaho stud’s reports as Irish Spud Notes.
You can check out Hoge’s first entry from last month here.
What’s up Irish Nation,
It’s been a while since the last time I given you the good ol’ rundown of the life here in Idaho.
Over the past month, life here has been a bit more normal on the recruiting end of things with my commitment firmly in place. Workouts with the team are going great, and every one of my teammates is focused on getting better.
This week, I finish my second trimester of my junior year and then on to the final trimester. It seems every day is going by so fast… so much to do before becoming Irish.
My family and I had a great Valentine’s Day and are looking forward to the future. We are planning on returning to South Bend for the annual Spring Game in April and look forward to seeing my future teammates competing to be the next #1 at their respective position. That will be yet another great experience.
I was also very excited to hear all of the great athletes the Irish signed in the Class of 2014! WOW, what a talented group of young men they are and I’m looking forward to getting to know each and every one of them.
I’ve also been keeping tabs on the weather in South Bend and I have to say, it will be just like coming home for me because our winters here seem to drag on for months with the intense pounding of daily snow fall!!
I’m with you all in wanting spring to arrive soon. Thanks again Irish Nation for the opportunity to update you. Until next time.
