Michigan could be missing a pair of starters when the Wolverines come to South Bend for a showdown with the Irish on Saturday.
Wide receiver Roy Roundtree and safety/linebacker Carvin Johnson suffered injuries in the Wolverines’ opener against Connecticut. During his meeting with the media Monday morning, Rich Rodriguez called Roundtree “doubtful” and Johnson “very doubtful.”
Johnson has a sprained knee and would be replaced by either sophomore Floyd Simmons or redshirt freshman Thomas Gordon. Roundtree suffered internal bruises after a big hit against the Huskies.
