Notre Dame is looking for at least one more receiver to go with verbal commitments James Onwualu and Corey Robinson in the Class of 2013 and the Irish are using the spring evaluation period to identify potential prospects.

On Tuesday, Notre Dame offensive coordinator Chuck Martin and area recruiter Harry Hiestand were in Philadelphia to get a look at Roman Catholic High School receiver Will Fuller.

“We were working out and they happened to come by and watch him,” Roman Catholic head coach Joe McCourt said. “Everything we hear from them is positive and we’ve developed a pretty good relationship. They haven’t pulled the trigger on the offer just yet, but the offensive coordinator, Coach Martin, and the offensive line coach, Coach Hiestand, they really, really like what they see. It’s just a matter of days, I think.”

It was Homecoming Night and his team had just blown an 18-point second half lead.

Butler High School (Matthews, N.C.) fans may have thought the game was over when an interception from junior quarterback Riley Ferguson was returned 49 yards for a touchdown, giving Ardrey Kell High School the lead with two minutes remaining.

But not Ferguson.

Ferguson quickly engineered a two-minute drill that was capped when he faked a spike in the final seconds, instead lofting a 12-yard touchdown pass to his older brother, Zach, giving the Bulldogs a 43-40 victory. Ferguson finished with 325 passing yards and four touchdowns.

When Logan Tuley-Tillman visited Notre Dame last month, the junior offensive lineman from Peoria, Ill., left with the Irish as one of his top two schools along with Michigan.

Tuley-Tillman has since collected several more top offers and his list of favorites has expanded as well.

“Michigan, Alabama, Arkansas, Ohio State, South Carolina, West Virginia and Notre Dame; a bunch of schools,” said Tuley-Tillman, who has offers from each of those schools outside of Alabama.

He also has offers from Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Missouri and Tennessee.

After decommitting from Michigan last month, Anthony Standifer plans on taking his time before he makes another decision on a college.

In fact, the 6-foot-1, 178-pound senior cornerback from Crete, Ill., (Crete-Monee High School) doesn’t intend to have a decision made by Feb. 1st.

“I’m going to wait until after signing day because I want to take all five of my officials,” said Standifer.

“I’m not in a rush. Last time I rushed myself and it didn’t turn out right. I’m just going to take my time.”
