Here’s a look at how Notre Dame’s verbal commits played over the weekend.

Chris Badger: The future Notre Dame safety and his Timpview (Provo, Utah) High teammates cruised past arch-rival Provo, 64-7, locking up the Region 7 championship. The three-time defending state champ Thunderbirds end the regular season and head into the playoffs 7-2 overall, 6-0 in their league.

Boyd had a touchdown and an interception to help Cape Coral (Fla.) High improve to 7-0.
Spencer Boyd: The future Irish cornerback and his Cape Coral (Fla.) High teammates blew out Gulf Coast, 54-21, improving to 7-0 on the season. Boyd rushed for 90 yards on just seven carries, including a 45-yard touchdown run. He also had three tackles and an interception.

“We didn’t have any turnovers Friday night,” Boyd said. “That’s what has killed us all year. We’ve been shooting ourselves in the foot. We have 26 turnovers total.”

Andrew Hendrix: The future Notre Dame quarterback completed 15-of-20 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns, helping lead Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller (9-0) high to a 40-10 victory over St. Edward. The Crusaders are currently ranked No. 25 in the nation by ESPN Rise. Look for more on this game in Hendrix’s weekly blog on Monday night.

Bennett Jackson: The future Irish receiver and his Raritan (Hazlet, N.J.) High teammates improved to 5-1 on the season with a 26-14 win over Barnegat.

Tai-ler Jones: The future Notre Dame receiver had scoring receptions of 50 yards and 42 yards in Gainesville (Ga.) High’s (8-0) 36-7 rout of Gilmer. The score was 36-0 at the half.

Christian Lombard: The future Irish offensive tackle and his Fremd (Palatine, Ill.) High teammates wrapped up a 9-0 regular season, with a 31-13 victory over Palatine. Lombard and the rest of the offensive line helped pave the way for Evan Wright to rush for 238 yards and three scores. Running behind Lombard and company, Wright has scored 25 touchdowns this fall.

Blake Lueders: The future Notre Dame defensive end and his Zionsville (Ind.) High teammates opened up the state tournament with a 17-14 victory over South Vigo, improving to 8-2. Lueders had eight tackles including one for loss.

Chris Martin: Martin and his Grandview (Aurora, Colo.) High (5-3) teammates saw their three-game winning streak come to a halt, falling to Cherry Creek, 24-10.

Kendall Moore: The future Irish linebacker and his Southeast Raleigh (N.C.) High teammates (8-1) dropped their first game of the season, a 49-42 loss to Garner.

Tommy Rees: It was a tough ending to a nice season for the future Notre Dame quarterback. Rees completed 15-of-29 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown in Lake Forest (Ill.) High’s (3-6) 35-14 loss to Zion-Benton. Rees was intercepted twice, but finished the game completing nine of his last 10 passes.

Cameron Roberson: The future Irish running back rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough as Newbury Park (Calif.) High (5-2) fell to unbeaten Westlake, 31-27.

Prince Shembo: The future Notre Dame linebacker and his Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, N.C.) High (3-6) teammates were shutout for the second week in a row, this time falling to East Mecklenburg, 28-0.

Wood blocked his seventh kick of the season, this time a punt in another Apopka win.
Daniel Smith: The future Irish receiver caught eight passes for 107 yards and a touchdown in his last high school game, as South Bend (Ind.) Clay’s (2-8) upset bid of Washington came up short, 21-20, in the first round of the state playoffs.

Justin Utupo: The future Notre Dame defensive end helped the Lakewood (Calif.) High (7-1) defense pitch a shutout in a 25-0 victory over Jordan.

Alex Welch: The future Notre Dame tight end and his Cincinnati (Ohio) Elder High (6-2) teammates had a bye week.

Lo Wood: The future Irish cornerback had six tackles, two pass break ups and a blocked punt in Apopka (Fla.) High’s (7-0), 56-14 victory over East Ridge.
