The 6-foot, 179-pound Redmond already has offers from Mississippi State, Memphis and Vanderbilt. He saw Hinton before Christmas break, but didn’t really feel like he was being recruited by the Irish seriously.
“I started getting mail, but that was pretty much it,” he said.
Hinton made sure Redmond knew Notre Dame was serious on Monday.
“They told my coach they looked at my film and Notre Dame is interested in me,” Redmond said.
