Football Recruiting The Countdown Has Begun
Today's the day that outside linebacker Noor Davis (The Villages, Fla./ The Villages Charter) will make the decision everyone's been waiting and that's his college destination. Scheduled to take place in The Villages Charter School cafeteria at 1:30 PM, the talented junior will choose between Notre Dame, Florida, Stanford, Alabama and USC.

The Class of 2010 was able to sign national letters of intent beginning Feb. 3, 2010. But that's not the only important date on the college football recruiting calendar:
Aug. 1 - Nov. 28: Evaluation period
Sept. 1: Juniors can receive written offers
Nov. 29 - Jan. 30: Contact period
Dec. 16 - Jan. 15: Junior college transfer
Feb. 3 - April 1: Signing period
April 15 - May 31: Evaluation period
