Notre Dame picked up its first commitment in the Class of 2013 as offensive lineman Steve Elmer committed to the Irish today. Elmer is on campus for an unofficial visit for today's game against Michigan State, but a source confirmed the news with Irish Sports Daily via text.
The 6-foot-6, 297-pound junior also had offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Wisconsin and Syracuse.
Elmer posted the news on his Facebook page, saying, "Just committed to the University of Notre Dame! Couldn't be happier :) GO IRISH!"
