Notre Dame secured its second verbal commitment in the Class of 2014 on Monday as Indianapolis wide receiver Justin Brent announced his pledge to the Irish during ISD Power Hour.
The 6-foot-3, 193-pounder from Speedway High School picked up an offer from the Irish during his third unofficial visit to Notre Dame on Friday. Brent waited on it for a couple days as Notre Dame offensive coordinator Chuck Martin advised, but by Monday, he was sure South Bend was the spot for him.
Brent joins 2014 Virginia linebacker Greer Martini, who became the Irish's first commit in the class when he offered his pledge last week.
Notre Dame was Brent's first offer, but he was likely to receive more with interest from several other big-time BCS programs.
