Todd Kelly is gathering tons of early interest and at this point, the 2014 Tennessee safety is interested in all of the schools that are interested in him.

“All the offers I have, so 23 schools,” the 6-foot-1, 190-pounder said of what schools he’s considering the most.

Kelly has offers from the likes of Alabama, USC, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt and Washington among others. His latest offer came last week from Notre Dame.

“Coach (Brian) Kelly Facebooked me (Tuesday) so I was thrilled,” said Kelly. “Every new offer is exciting to receive.”

So far, what Kelly knows about the Irish, he likes.

“They are known for their tradition, really religious based, and are always competing in every game,” he said.

He’s looking forward to getting on campus, but doesn’t have any firm plans to do so yet.

“At some point yes, I have no set date yet though,” Kelly said of a possible visit to Notre Dame.

Kelly is in no rush to make a decision and doesn’t have any timetable for one.

“I'm not sure yet, it will be whenever I find the right school for me,” he said.

But he does have an idea of what his decision will come down to.

“Just the place where I feel most comfortable and fit in well,” he said. “Academics will be important.”

An excellent student at the Webb School of Knoxville, Kelly has already been invited to play in the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Kelly’s father, Todd Sr., was a first-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in the 1993 NFL Draft after a successful career as a defensive end/linebacker at Tennessee.
