With the 2012 high school football playoffs just getting started in most areas, ISD will be keeping you up to date with who the Notre Dame's commitments will be playing on a weekly basis and also giving you the final results of those games on Mondays.
2013 Commits
Malik Zaire QB Archbishop Alter:
Archbishop Alter (8-2-1) season came to an abrupt end in the first round of the playoffs as they were defeated by the Shawnee Braves (8-3), 42-34.
Trailing 34-21 late in the third quarter, Shawnee scored 21 unanswered points and rallied to defeat the Knights.
Zaire threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns.

Jamel James RB Cinco Ranch:
Cinco Ranch (6-3) fell to undefeated Katy (9-0) on Saturday, 35-21.
The Cinco Ranch defense had a tough time stopping four-star running back Adam Taylor. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound standout rushed for 265 yards on 23 carries and scored two touchdowns.

Will Fuller WR Roman Catholic:
Roman Catholic (5-4) wrapped up their season with a playoff loss to La Salle College (9-1), 42-13, on Saturday.
This is the second time this season that Roman Catholic would suffer a loss to La Salle College. Two weeks earlier, the Cahillite's were defeated, 28-14.

Corey Robinson WR San Antonio Christian:
The San Antonio Christian Lions (6-3) picked up their fifth win in-a-row on Friday night defeating Regents (6-3), 35-10.
Robinson had another big night for the Lions with four catches for 96 yards and one touchdown.

Torii Hunter, Jr. WR Prosper:
Hunter Jr. and the Eagles (7-1) traveled to Frisco, Texas on Thursday to take on the Liberty Redhawks (3-5) and came away with a win, 28-13.
Hunter had seven catches for 117 yards and a touchdown.

Mike Heuerman TE Barron Collier:
Barron Collier (6-3) picked up the victory over a struggling struggling Palmetto Ridge (1-9) Friday night, 27-7.
Barron Collier didn't need to pass much and used Heuerman's blocking ability at tight end to help amass 325 yards rushing for the game.

Hunter Bivin OL Apollo:
Apollo (2-9) season came to an end Friday night when they were destroyed by Bowling Green (11-0), 62-6.

Steven Elmer OL Midland:
The Chemics (11-0) continue to advance in the playoffs by defeating Traverse City Central (9-2) Friday, 20-16.
Elmer and his offensive line teammates demonstrated superior pass blocking and helped Midland quarterback, Alec Johnson, throw for 281 yards on the night.

Colin McGovern OL Lincoln-Way West:
Lincoln-Way West (8-3) picked up a big win by a knocking off previously undefeated Kaneland (10-1), 31-15 on Saturday afternoon.
Lincoln-Way West dominated this game from the very beginning and left the top-seeded Knights wondering what had just happened when the final whistle blew. Kaneland, who is averaging 43 points-per-contest, was held to zero points for the first 58 minutes of the game.
McGovern and his offensive line teammates use their precise blocking to rack up 319 total yards for the Warriors.

John Montelus OL Everett:
The Everett Crimson Tide (8-1) pounded the winless Somerville Highlanders (0-8) on Friday night, 49-13.
Everett scored all 49 of their points in the first two quarters before calling in their reserves.

Jacob Matuska DE Bishop Hartley:
Bishop Hartley (11-0) opened up the 2012 state playoffs with a demolishing of Upper Sandusky (7-4), 63-19.
Bishop Hartley's offense racked up 437 yards rushing and 83 yards passing for the game.
Matuska had two catches for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Isaac Rochell DE Eagle’s Landing Christian:
Eagle’s Landing Christian (8-1) continues to dominate every team they face including Friday night's victim Pace Academy (2-7), 55-0.

Alex Anzalone LB Wyomissing:
Wyomissing (10-0) wrapped up the regular season shutting out previously undefeated Berks Catholic (9-1), 14-0.
Anzalone had a huge night both on offense and defense.
On offense he rushed for 117 yards on 11 carries with one touchdown. He also had his first reception of the season on a wheel route out of the backfield for a 56-yard touchdown.
On defense, he recorded two sacks and intercepted a pass.

Michael Deeb LB American Heritage:
American Heritage (8-1) picked up their seventh win in-a-row Friday night when they shut out Dillard (4-5), 56-0.
In the blowout, Deeb intercepted an early pass and returned it 31 yards for a Patriot touchdown.

Mead (9-2) opened up the Washington state playoffs shutting out the Richland Bombers (5-4), 17-0.

Jaylon Smith LB Bishop Luers:
The Knights (8-4) won the class 2A Sectional 27 championship Friday night with an impressive shutout of Churubusco (10-2), 21-0.
Smith would have a huge night o offense for the Knights rushing for 137 yards and scoring two touchdowns.

Doug Randolph and Greer Martini (2014) LB’s Woodberry Forest:
Woodberry Forest (6-3) ran into a buzz saw Friday night against Penn State commit Christian Hackenberg and Fort Union Military Academy (9-2), 42-14.

Devin Butler CB Gonzaga:
Gonzaga (8-2) closed out the regular season Saturday with a victory over the St. John's Cadets (5-5), 35-28.
Butler was all over the field on defense recording six tackles (two for losses) and two pass breakups.

Cole Luke CB Hamilton:
Hamilton (8-3) opened the playoffs Friday night destroying the Highland Hawks (6-5), 44-14.
Luke, Notre Dame's newest commit, has helped lead the Huskies defense to surrendering only 14 points-per-game this season.

Rashad Kinlaw CB Absegami:
Absegami (5-2) was scheduled to host Atlantic City (5-2) Friday night at Absegami High School, but the game has been moved back a week because of hurricane Sandy.
Kinlaw, who had been out all season with a leg injury he received with the U.S. National team, was back in action and made his presence felt last week.
These teams seem to be evenly matched, so it should be a very good game.
Last season, Absegami loss to Atlantic City, 32-27.
