With the 2012 high school football season coming to a conclusion, ISD will be keeping you up to date with who the Notre Dame's commitments will be playing on a weekly basis and also giving you the final results of those games on Mondays.

2013 Commits

Jamel James RB Cinco Ranch:

Cinco Ranch (7-3) will open up the playoffs with the Bellaire Cardinals (5-5) on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the records, these two teams look to be pretty evenly matched. Both offenses can put points on the board efficiently (Cinco Ranch 29 points-per-game, Bellaire 28 points-per-game), but both defenses are known to surrender around 25 to 30 points a game.

Last season, Cinco Ranch crushed Bellaire in the opening game of the playoffs, 59-28.

Corey Robinson WR San Antonio Christian:

The San Antonio Christian Lions (7-3) will open up the playoffs on Saturday evening against Westbury Christian (7-3).

San Antonio Christian has been pretty dominant since open up the season with a 1-3 record. This Westbury Christian team they face Saturday seems to be a mirror image of the Lions and this should be a pretty good game.

These teams didn't play each other last year.

Torii Hunter, Jr. WR Prosper:

Hunter Jr. and the Eagles (9-2) defeated the Forney Jackrabbits (5-6) on Thursday evening by the score, 26-14.

Hunter, Jr. had eight catches for 100 yards and one carry for five yards.

Here's an article on this game.

Mike Heuerman TE Barron Collier:

Barron Collier (7-3) will start their playoff run on Friday night against South Fort Myers (10-1).

Both teams have very stingy defenses that barely give up 10 points a game. The challenge here will be whether Barron Collier can slow down a Wolfpack offense, led by Clemson commit Jayron Kearse, is that's averaging 38 points-per-game.

These teams didn't play each other last season.

Mike McGlinchey OL Penn Charter:

I can't find any game scheduled for Penn Charter (5-4) this week.

John Montelus OL Everett:

The Everett Crimson Tide (9-1) has a bye week this week.

Jacob Matuska DE Bishop Hartley:

Bishop Hartley (12-0) will lock horns with Ottawa-Glandorf (12-0) this Friday night.

When you think this could be the toughest test for Bishop Hartley this season, they usually end up dominating their opponent (as they did last week against undefeated North Union, 43-0). Ottawa-Glandorf will try to get there 45 points a game offense going against a Bishop Hartley defense that surrenders only seven points a game.

Isaac Rochell DE Eagle’s Landing Christian:

Eagle’s Landing Christian (9-1) has a bye this week.

Alex Anzalone LB Wyomissing:

Wyomissing (11-0) will continue their playoff run on Friday night when they face Schuylkill Valley (8-3) for the second time this season.

Three weeks ago, Wyomissing escaped with a 37-33 victory over the Panthers.

Michael Deeb LB American Heritage:

American Heritage (9-1) will open playoff action against Jackson (5-4) on Friday night.

This is definitely a revenge game for American Heritage since Jackson knocked them out of the playoffs last year, 35-18. Deeb and his teammates are ready to make sure history doesn’t repeat itself. I have a feeling this is going to be a beat down.

Danny Mattingly LB Mead Senior:

Mead (10-2) will head into its third game of the playoffs with a face-off against Auburn (9-2) on Friday night.

This should be a fairly entertaining game as both offenses average over 30 points a game, but the edge probably go to Mead’s defense, which is only surrendering a little over 10 points a game.

These teams didn't play each other last season.

Jaylon Smith LB Bishop Luers:

The Knights (9-4) will head into Semi-State action Friday night against the Andrean Fighting 59ers (12-2).

Andrean is averaging 45 points a game this season and is coming off of a win over Cass last weekend, 67-66. It makes you wonder if they were playing basketball instead of football.

If Bishop Luers gets past this game they will go on to play for their fourth straight state championship.

These teams didn't play each other last season

Cole Luke CB Hamilton:

Hamilton (9-3) will take the next step in the playoffs Friday night when they face Desert Ridge (11-1).

In another game of mirror images, both teams will be sporting high potent offenses that are average over 40 points a game against defenses that are only surrendering a round 15 points a game.

Last season, Hamilton knocked Desert Ridge out of the playoffs, 31-21.

Rashad Kinlaw CB Absegami:

Absegami (5-3) will open playoff action on Friday night against Atlantic City (6-2).

This will be back-to-back weeks that these teams have played each other.

Last week, Atlantic City defeated Absegami in a close game, 33-25.

Season Over:

Malik Zaire QB Archbishop Alter:

Archbishop Alter (8-2-1) season came to an abrupt end in the first round of the playoffs as they were defeated by the Shawnee Braves (8-3), 42-34.

Will Fuller WR Roman Catholic:

Roman Catholic (5-4) wrapped up their season with a playoff loss to La Salle College (9-1), 42-13.

James Onwualu WR Cretin-Derham:

The Raiders finished the season (6-3) and lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Woodbury Royals (4-5), 21-14.

Hunter Bivin OL Apollo:

Apollo (2-9) season came to an end against Bowling Green (11-0), 62-6.

Steven Elmer OL Midland:

The Chemics (11-1) season came to a end with a tough loss to powerhouse Muskegon (11-1), 49-21.

Colin McGovern OL Lincoln-Way West:

Lincoln-Way West (8-4) season came to an abrupt end against Joliet Catholic Academy (9-4), 21-20.

Doug Randolph and Greer Martini (2014) LB’s Woodberry Forest:

Woodberry Forest (7-3) wrapped up their season crushing Episcopal (3-7), 44-14.

Devin Butler CB Gonzaga:

Gonzaga (8-3) season ended with a first-round loss to DeMatha (9-2), 40-27.

2014 Commits

Justin Brent WR Speedway:

Speedway's (7-4) season came to an end losing to undefeated Cardinal Ritter (11-0), 49-21.
