Closing out the 2012 slate for this season, two of Notre Dame's top defensive commits won state championsips. Here's a rundown:
2013 Commits
Isaac Rochell DE Eagle’s Landing Christian:
Eagle’s Landing Christian (13-1) captured the Class A private school state championship shutting out Prince Avenue Christian (12-3)at the Georgia Dome, 33-0.
Rochell and the Chargers defense held Prince Avenue Christian to 135 total yards offensively and seven first downs for the game.

Alex Anzalone LB Wyomissing:
Wyomissing (16-0) took the PIAA Class AA State Championship on Saturday when they head into beating fellow powerhouse Aliquippa (15-1), 17-14.
Anzalone had a rough day on offense with 16 carries for 41 yards and two fumbles, but made his presence felt all day on defense accounting for 10 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and one pass break up.

Malik Zaire QB Archbishop Alter:
Archbishop Alter (8-2-1) season came to an abrupt end in the first round of the playoffs as they were defeated by the Shawnee Braves, 42-34.
Greg Bryant RB American Heritage:
American Heritage (11-1) lost in the first-round of the playoffs to University, 34-17.
Jamel James RB Cinco Ranch:
Cinco Ranch (8-4) season came to an end with a loss to Alief Elsik, 27-17.
Will Fuller WR Roman Catholic:
Roman Catholic (5-4) wrapped up their season with a playoff loss to La Salle College, 42-13.
James Onwualu WR Cretin-Derham:
The Raiders finished the season (6-3) and lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Woodbury Royals, 21-14.
Corey Robinson WR San Antonio Christian:
The San Antonio Christian Lions (8-4) had a great season but came up short in playoff action against undefeated Northland Christian, 43-36.
Torii Hunter, Jr. WR Prosper:
Hunter Jr. and the Eagles (10-3) season came to an end with a playoff loss to Lancaster, 36-29.
Mike Heuerman TE Barron Collier:
Barron Collier (7-4) lost in the opening round of the playoffs Friday night to South Fort Myers (11-1), 27-0.
Hunter Bivin OL Apollo:
Apollo (2-9) season came to an end against Bowling Green, 62-6.
John Montelus OL Everett:
The Everett Crimson Tide (11-1) added a third straight Division 1A Super Bowl to its resume when they beat previously undefeated Barnstable in a heartstopper, 20-19.
Steven Elmer OL Midland:
The Chemics (11-1) season came to a end with a tough loss to powerhouse Muskegon, 49-21.
Colin McGovern OL Lincoln-Way West:
Lincoln-Way West (8-4) season came to an abrupt end against Joliet Catholic Academy, 21-20.
Mike McGlinchey OL Penn Charter:
Penn Charter (5-4) has ended the season.
Jacob Matuska DE Bishop Hartley:
Bishop Hartley (13-1) season came to a disappointing end when they were beaten by Clinton-Massie, 45-21.
Michael Deeb LB American Heritage:
American Heritage (9-2) lost in the first round of playoff action against Jackson, 39-23.
Jaylon Smith LB Bishop Luers:
The Knights (11-4) won their fourth straight state championship knocking off undefeated juggernaut Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, 40-28.
Doug Randolph and Greer Martini (2014) LB’s Woodberry Forest:
Woodberry Forest (7-3) wrapped up their season crushing Episcopal, 44-14.
Devin Butler CB Gonzaga:
Gonzaga (8-3) season ended with a first-round loss to DeMatha, 40-27.
Rashad Kinlaw CB Absegami:
Absegami (5-4) lost in the first round of the playoffs against Atlantic City, 34-30.
Cole Luke CB Hamilton:
Hamilton (12-2) won the Division I Arizona state championship defeating Mountain Pointe, 31-16.
2014 Commits
Jimmy Byrne OL St. Ignatius:
Ignatius (11-2) lost in the third-round of the playoffs to Mentor, 57-56.
Justin Brent WR Speedway:
Speedway's (7-4) season came to an end losing to undefeated Cardinal Ritter, 49-21.
Jay Hayes DL-OL Poly Prep:
Poly Prep (5-3) missed the playoffs this season.
