The Colony (Texas) defensive end Grant Blankenship has decided that Notre Dame is the place for him and a source confirmed that the talented prospect committed to the Irish a short time ago.
The Texas native visited Notre Dame last month for their camp and definitely impressed the Irish coaching staff with his athletic ability.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound defender held close to 30 offers and chose Notre Dame over programs like Arkansas, Baylor, Boise State, California, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Mississippi, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Oregon, TCU, Utah, Washington and Washington State.
Blankenship is the 14th commit to the class of 2014.
We hope to have more with Blankenship on his commitment later on.
