Quincy Wilson continues to pick up scholarship offers.

“Everything is going great,” the Florida defensive back said. “I just picked up three offers from UMass, Marshall and Nebraska.”

That makes 32 for the 6-foot-2, 195-pound defensive back from University High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. His offer sheet includes the likes of Notre Dame, Florida, LSU, Clemson, Auburn, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and West Virginia among several others.

“It feels great,” Wilson said of all the early interest and attention. “Coaches are just hitting me on Facebook, telling me to call them and then they offer me.”

Notre Dame assistant Tony Alford was one of the coaches who got in early on Wilson and has stayed in touch ever since.

“I talked to him a couple days ago,” Wilson said of Alford. “He was just checking in with me and seeing how I’m doing.”

Wilson is looking to get to Notre Dame eventually, but doesn’t know if it’ll be soon.

“I’m not sure,” he said. “I’m going to try to go in the summer, but if not, maybe an official. I will be visiting Notre Dame.”

He hasn’t had the chance to hit the road much this winter.

“I haven’t gone anywhere recently,” he said. “I’ll probably make trips this spring, but nothing set up right now.”

In addition to the spring trips and eventual officials, he’s planning to check out some schools over the summer as well.

“I think it’ll help a lot because I’ll get to see how they do things at practice and how the coaches interact with players,” he said of his trips in general.

Wilson will be joined by another Irish target on his University High School defense next season in linebacker Richard Yeargin III.

“He’s going to be a great player for us,” Wilson said of Yeargin III, who transferred from Chaminade-Madonna.

For the second straight season, University will be playing on ESPN in the fall.

“I think it’s a great opportunity for people in the nation to see us as a school,” Wilson said of the exposure.

Wilson isn’t claiming any favorites at this point.

“I don’t really have any top schools right now,” he said.

And doesn’t have a timeline for a decision.

“I’m not sure, but I’m working on that now,” he said.
