Mason Veal already has a pair of big-time early offers and more are sure to follow.
The 2015 North Carolina offensive lineman already has offers from a pair of in-state schools and will be at Notre Dame for camp later this month.
“I’m planning to go up there on the 21st,” Veal said.
“Coach (Mike) Elston came by early in the spring evaluation period. They told me they’d really like to have me on campus. They watched my film, they like me and he said if he could have me come to any camp, he’d want me to come to the June 21st one.”
The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder from Charlotte’s Ardrey Kell High School is excited about getting to South Bend.
“There’s definitely interest in Notre Dame,” he said. “Obviously with how they are with football, they’re a great team and great program year in and year out. They have a great coaching staff and they have great academics as well. It’s one of the best combinations of those two in the country.
