Even as the 2013 football season is winding down, the 2014 recruiting season is heating up. With nineteen verbally committed players, Notre Dame is trying to put the finishing touches on what appears to be an excellent recruiting class. While the Irish are still in the running for several of their long-time targets, they are also still actively scouring the high school landscape for talented players and several new names have emerged on the 2014 recruiting scene.
At the same time that they are trying to close on the 2014 class, the Irish are also turning up the intensity on the class of 2015. Last week Irish Sports Daily spoke to a fairly new 2014 recruit while also reporting on a local 2015 prospect from a well-known high school. What have you been missing by not being a member of Irish Sports Daily?
Jhonny Williams, LB, 6-6, 230, Berrien Springs High School, Berrien Springs, MI visited South Bend for the BYU game though he is currently verbally committed to the University of Missouri. Williams’ recruitment became more complicated after receiving some new scholarship offers recently and was exploring his options. Now the talented Michigan recruit says that the situation has become clearer.
